Vosges du Nord is a fantastically beautiful region at the very east of France, close to the German border. The landscape is that of rolling hills with beautiful forests, which offers climbing, cycling and hiking for a lifetime. The type of rock is hard sandstone, but fully bolted for sport climbing. The climbs there are mostly single pitch climbs on beautiful sandstone towers that stick out of the forest, spread over a rather large area. A similar type of rock as the area of Pfalz, on the other side of the border.
The plan: leaving on Friday night, reaching the campsite around 11 pm. Full day climb Sat, dinner at a restaurant, climbing until 3-4 pm on Sunday, leaving back to the NL
