Wintersport travel arrangements

The annual trip for some snow is the biggest event each year.

Here are the travel options:

Car, Bus, Train, Plane - Below are some details of the different methods,

Car

The journey is approx 12h. You will DEFINITELY need winter tyres (these can be rented) Toll charges are about 70euro for the round trip and you MUST reserve a car parking space, also about 70euro for the week.
If you plan to drive then mention it on our FB EVENT to see if there are others wanting to share costs.

The tour company organise a bus to take you there, it leaves from Amsterdam and makes a few stops on the way. It's arrives between 7.30 and 9am on Saturday.  If you choose the bus let me know. Here is the rough timetable, tho it may change each year.

This is the cheapest option and does take you directly there, cost is approx 160euro.

Train.

There is an early morning train from Amsterdam Centraal to Bourg St Maurice (for Tignes) or Moutiers (for Val Thorens) .

It takes +/- 8h and costs approx 160 return. Here is a link to the NS site

Then you need to catch a local bus "up the hill". For this check Altibus and book early :)
FLY

Fly to Geneva (both Transavia and KLM) and take the bus from there. There a loads of different bus companies, I googled and found these, take a look and pick the option that suits:

As usual any questions just let me know, just remember the sooner you book the cheaper it will be.
