Vosges du Nord is a fantastically beautiful region at the very east of France, close to the German border. The landscape is that of rolling hills with beautiful forests, which offers climbing, cycling and hiking for a lifetime. The type of rock is hard sandstone, but fully bolted for sport climbing. The climbs there are mostly single pitch climbs on beautiful sandstone towers that stick out of the forest, spread over a rather large area. A similar type of rock as the area of Pfalz, on the other…See More

To avoid granting access to spammers, tell me a little about your climbing history.
I did my beginners' course at USC Amsterdam in 2011 and my lead climbing course at Mountain Network Amsterdam in 2013. Since then I have had some injuries due to my two other passions, volleyball and snowboarding, which made me stop climbing for sometime. Now I back to it, and try to climb at least once or twice a week.
I am also looking forward to climbing outside more. I am not very experienced. So far I have climbed in Belgium, Mallorca, Poland and the US. Have not done multi pitch though, so that is my next goal. Love winter, so ice climbing is on my list too.

You need to be a member of Amsterdam Climbers to add comments!
The heart of our network are the Events - we often have quite a few each week. The events are very informal, just RSVP and turn up - it's a great way to meet other climbers. Of course you're free to post your own events and you don't need a partner to join in.
We have a Gear section, as an Amber member you are entitled to a 15% discount at the Mountain Network Amsterdam. You can see their products in the Gear Portal.
As you can see we have been on a fair few Trips - read all about them in Trip-Logs section.
There are also 100's of photo's and regular discussions in the forums.
Recently we have added specialised Groups which you can find under the "About Us" tag. If you practice or are just interested in the group you should join so as to be kept in the loop on those subjects. If there are groups you would like to see then just let me know.
For more information, I've created a read-me explaining a little more how the network operates.
Feel free to ask if you have any queries/doubts and I hope to see you at an event someday,
