Not sure of the details just yet... but it's never too early to plan :-) The 2013 film from Alastair Lee is an epic to end all mountain epics set in the stunning mountains of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. The feature length 90min documentary follows top adventure climber Leo Houlding with his tried and tested team of Jason Pickles and Sean 'Stanley' Leary as they attempt to make the first ascent of the NE ridge of 'the master piece of the range'; the majestic Ulvetanna Peak (2931m). Let's meet at the concrete rock at Spaarnwoude! The festival at that spot is over and the sundays-indoor-climb is possible at any other time. And the sun is still warm these days. For the location snowplanet is best. On the right side of the building is a path up into the park to the rock.See More
Anyone want to join us? It's a man made mountain where you can climb like you are in the real mountains. Inside the 'mountain' it's a normal climbing gym. The walls are almost 35 meters! More information at the website.See More
I'll be in Amsterdam for approx. three from the 16th of June. I would love to climb the highest climbing tower and need at least one climbing partner ;)Does anyone want to join? I don't mind the date. The last two weeks of my holidays are free for climbing :DI don't have a car in Amsterdam. I hope there is chance to go there by public transport as well.See More
To avoid granting access to spammers, tell me a little about your climbing history.
I am climbing since about 1998, on and off I must say, however I have climbed mostly indoors, but also outdoors in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Croatia. I climb indoors 5b/5c.
How did you hear about the Amsterdam Climbers?

You need to be a member of Amsterdam Climbers to add comments!
The heart of our network are the Events - we often have quite a few each week. The events are very informal, just RSVP and turn up - it's a great way to meet other climbers. Of course you're free to post your own events and you don't need a partner to join in.
We have a Gear section, as an Amber member you are entitled to a 15% discount at the Mountain Network Amsterdam. You can see their products in the Gear Portal.
As you can see we have been on a fair few Trips - read all about them in Trip-Logs section.
There are also 100's of photo's and regular discussions in the forums.
Recently we have added specialised Groups which you can find under the "About Us" tag. If you practice or are just interested in the group you should join so as to be kept in the loop on those subjects. If there are groups you would like to see then just let me know.
For more information, I've created a read-me explaining a little more how the network operates.
Feel free to ask if you have any queries/doubts and I hope to see you at an event someday,
