Lots of climbing on the cliffs of Cornwall in the UK where I grew up. Started at age 7 till 15. I have not really done any serious climbing since then, I'm now 28, but really want to get back into it.
How did you hear about the Amsterdam Climbers?

Awesome. I'll be in Portugal next week, but will be back the week after. I'm game for either Wednesdays or Thursdays, with Wednesday having my preference.
On Fridays I'm always at Klimmuur Utrecht. They have a session where we do endurance and resistance training, it is open to all at 3,50 Euro on top of normal entrance fee. You're more than welcome to join there as well.
We can defenitely arrange to pick you up in Aqaba since we are going to have a rental car over there and then head to Wadi Rum! The stay in Wadi Rum is very much regulated and you can stay in this protected area only in specific bedouin camp.
The second week (20-27th) I plan to climb 3 days plus another one or two days of hiking/scrambling. For that i have a very nice guide (who helped T. Howard to open the first routes there, check their site here (http://bedouinsofwadirum.com/?page_id=12) and bit of their price are below (1JD=about 1euro) that I arranged with them:
The nigth in the bedouin camp, will cost you 25JD pr person, with dinner and breakfast included.
For climbing: if we are two with the guide one day is 150 JD/pers (cuz include jeep/guide and food/water), but he will also show all the other spots for sport climbing the other days :-) (for this specific climbing day, I'll ask him to bring us in a very beautiful spot!)
FYI if you like to hike/scramble : one day of hiking, 35JD/pers
I will send you my private email via message to continue this discussion offline cuz I need some additional info from you!
I hope you have fun in your current destinations!! Sounds crazy great!
The heart of our network are the Events - we often have quite a few each week. The events are very informal, just RSVP and turn up - it's a great way to meet other climbers. Of course you're free to post your own events and you don't need a partner to join in.
We have a Gear section, as an Amber member you are entitled to a 15% discount at the Mountain Network Amsterdam. You can see their products in the Gear Portal.
As you can see we have been on a fair few Trips - read all about them in Trip-Logs section.
There are also 100's of photo's and regular discussions in the forums.
Recently we have added specialised Groups which you can find under the "About Us" tag. If you practice or are just interested in the group you should join so as to be kept in the loop on those subjects. If there are groups you would like to see then just let me know.
For more information, I've created a read-me explaining a little more how the network operates.
Feel free to ask if you have any queries/doubts and I hope to see you at an event someday,
