To avoid granting access to spammers, tell me a little about your climbing history.
I was first introduced to climbing as a child. I immediately loved the sport, and eventually even went climbing outdoors in France a couple of times. During high school I kind of lost the passion. Luckily I picked this up again during my studies, through bouldering at Delfts Bleau (Delft). I started training intensively about two years ago, and since then I have also gained a lot of outdoor experience. I've lived in Trondheim, Norway for half a year, and here I had an awesome group of climber friends, who taught me a lot, and with who I went on many climbing trips (twice to Flatanger!!). I have my own gear (rope, harness, belay devices, draws, etc.), and try to go on at least 1 or 2 outdoor climbing trips every year (often France).
How did you hear about the Amsterdam Climbers?
I understand that participation in any of the activities on this website is entirely at my own risk and that Amsterdam Climbers or representatives of are in no way liable for my safety or wellbeing. I also understand that it is my own responsibility to be properly informed and prepared for any activity.
The heart of our network are the Events. The events are very informal, just RSVP and turn up - it's a great way to meet other climbers. Of course you're free to post your own events and you don't need a partner to join in. As you can see we have been on a fair few Trips - read all about them in Trip-Logs section.
For more information, I've created a read-me explaining a little more how the network operates.
Feel free to ask if you have any queries/doubts and I hope to see you at an event someday,
