Dave Macloed and Yvoir

What a trip!

Friday - Lin, Celine, Mark and I hit the road at 4pm on the dot and didn't hit traffic till past Utrecht. We arrived 40mins early - just enough time to grab a pizza... mine had EGG on it ! Go figure.

in the wind and the rain we soldiered on...

Today Celine, Dasha and I went for a look see at Spaarnwoude.

Well I'd like to report that the sun blazed down and we had to strip off to shorts 'n' tee shirts, with palms a sweating we chalked up for some superb climbing.... however that would not be entirely true :-)

Durnal in a day...

Well it was an Alpine start in the Dam... 6am departure from Amsterdam which I grant is not a REAL alpine start, but this is not the REAL Alps, is it :-)

Picked up Lin and Kieran on route...

I was 280km to Durnal, we got a full tank of gas, half a thermos of tea, it was dark and we're wearing beanies...

The drive down, spirits were high and a variety of tunes fuelled by large amounts of antici..pation everyone eager to get there as soon as.
